I’ve been playing for a couple years and I’ve got two Fender Stratocasters, but my absolute favorite guitar is my Ovation.  Couldn’t live without it.

Rocking list, it gives me a little tickle in my belly thinking of all the guitar gods who became known for one or the other of those axes.

    Thanks for the memories.

@Nick: I forgot about the Ovation!  I used to have a slim-body acoustic electric.  It was dark blue and had an unmistakeable sound.  I’m glad to hear I can add guitar to the things we have in common.

@Rian: Ah, another picker in the blogosphere.  Glad to make your acquaitance!

I don’t know anything about guitars, really, but I’ve always thought that "Flying V" design was pretty cool!!!!

How about some modern "classics".  A PRS McCarty perhaps?  Just wish I could afford one.  Guess I’ll stick with my good old Takamine.

Cool list!  Husband has the Rickenbacker 6 string…and about 25 or 30 other "perfectly good guitars."  They are everywhere…on the walls, sitting on stands (6 in my living room!).  How many guitars does a guy need?  EEK…I’m afraid you are going to answer that question.

@Chris: I haven’t heard of that one, gonna go check it out!  My first guitar was a Takamine so they will always be special.

@Shelly: A man "needs" as many guitars as catch his eye and that he can afford …  he he.  That’s why I have 9 and not 1,000.  Great seeing you here!

I have yet to learn how to play my guitar. How pathetic and sad, eh?
I featured my favorite guitar player this week, in my 13!

Dave Matthews is one of my favorites as well.  I really like how he plays and writes.  Some of his recent stuff, since "Space Between" has kind of left me wanting but hey, when you get that successful I guess it doesn’t matter if you have hits anymore.

My dad used to rock the The Martin Dreadnought. My favorite is the The Stratocaster though. Gotta love it!

You said it! How can you improve upon perfection? Everybody needs a Strat in their collection.
