Damien at the Speed of Life

A friend from Facebook, Mark, sent me this video today and I was floored.  This is the Alarm, a band you may recall I got close to in high school and worked with the guitarist Dave Sharp on a few of my songs in the early 90’s.  They were arena passion, post-punk, and songwriting at its best, by my standards anyway.  This was the 80’s. Most stuff with bands was analog. There was nothing like the rigs we have now like KVM switches and rack mount monitors. But they rocked with what what they had in those arenas they played. I saw them 5 times.  If you remember them, let the video inspire you … if you’re too young, get over to Youtube and check out all their stuff … it’ll blow your mind.  This vid was shot in 1985.  I was there at 15 completely awe-struck by what I saw.
