NaNoWriMo is a way to promote NaNoWriMo’s influence while you force yourself to “write” and meanwhile make no money or influence for yourself.

    Every year I try it and every year by week 2, I’m done. I can see where it might be a great motivator for some people, but it just goes against how I operate in general. I won’t do it again.

    Perhaps they know you can deftly juggle your time: teaching, blogging, creative writing. It’s a vote of confidence on you especially if these come from people who know you for quite a while. :)
