I have been to McDonalds twice in the past month. One time, the cashier rang in a cookie after the fact that showed up at $1.05. Then the third time I went appeared to be a double charge (ie; 16.75 + the cookie charge). I assumed --- you know it makes an ass of u and me always, that she double charged me but my wife reminded me I had another charge from another day ... I just shouldn't have gotten so uppity ... hence the nice post. Thanks for your great input. @Chelle: How funny, we just had tires put on Sarah's minivan last night. Went smoothly. We wanted 2 tires and that was all. We get there...and they charge us $90 for an alignment we never asked for. And driving down the road we hear this awful rattling that wasn't there before... So we go back, prepared to fight these guys...and we actually were able to do it amicably and walk out of there happily...I couldn't believe it! It's hard to always be nice...but it's amazing when it works out! My daughter came home last month and said "I have no money in my bank account and there's all these charges to my debit card that I didn't do!"...we, too, spent a long time on the phone only to have her realize that she did make the charges. UGH. God lesson learned. Now she records every transaction like I told her to do in the first place LOL OK, nice posts..here we go!
