Table of contents for Blog Stats and Earnings 2009
$3,007 and the year aint over yet!
It’s just weeks before 2010 and I’m thinking about blog money. My primary job as a teacher has kept me quite busy in the past months so I haven’t had the creative energy I had last year to create blog money. Still, I think processes and strategies I have made habits will show a greater increase this year than last.
Since this date last year and now, 12-21-09, I’ve earned a total of: $3,007 blogging. If you are interested how I made that chunk of change, here are the most substantial sources, in order of highest earnings:
PayU2Blog
Adsense (Newly discovered strategies in 2009!)
Text Link Ads
Social Spark
Amazon Associates Program
After new year’s day rolls past I will do my traditional year-end post on my CAN Blog Stats. I will give income source totals and tips on what worked and what didn’t. I hope you’ll check it out. Merry Christmas until then! How much money did you make blogging in 2009?
Thanks for being a return reader. You may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.

Damien, that’s incredible!!! Way to go! Seriously, I know how hard it is to squeak out twenty bucks, which is about what I did lol
Now you can afford to get yourself a decent haircut. ;-)
Pay you to blog pays well says everyone, but I don’t know why I was not approved when review me and sponsored reviews approve my blogs.

@Jena: I’ll speak to that in my year-end CAN Blog Stats post. Once you get in, PayU2Blog, they treat you very well but writing posts centered on one word links is not what everyone would even want. I think they look for that proverbial “fit.” There are other options for sponsored posts. Keep trying, that’s the key.
@Heather: You are so upbeat … I love it. Sometimes just guest blogging around consistently translates into money. Let me know if you hav any questions about how it has helped me build a rep. I did notice you look at PR1 as a factor. Yes and no. The bar you see is one many do not see. In the future, PR in that bar will not be a criteria for advertisers like it is now. Anyone else who thinks it shows authority isn’t worth their salt. When you start looking at how VISIBLE PR is calculated you realize it is neither a badge of honor nor an albatross around your neck … it’s worthless in my opinion. If you do even one paid link (which is what most my income comes from) Google will set your PR to 0. BUT … your actual PR is the weight you have in searches. That is still there on all my blogs and it is what makes you “secret” money on Adsense and other ad sources.
Congratulations Damien! Way to go!
I haven’t made any yet though from my blogging, ehehhee!
I’m just over the moon in general blogging delightment as I raked in more than two hundred bucks this year from my Adsense– whoo-hoo!!! Not sure if we should take that cruise to Hawaii or put an addition on the house with all that loot, but new running shoes may be it.
but seriously that’s so aewsome about your blog earnings and growth. I think I’ll be able to take some pointers from you.
And I like the positive tone on your blog!
See you soon, I’m sure

@Jannie Funster: Great to read your upbeat comment. Hope to get to know you more in 2010 and that we both get a little richer from blogging ;)
That’s awesome Damien :) I’m glad some of the stuff you learned paid off! This year my goal is to tackle & master affiliate stuff, who knows how that will go! But 2009 was an awesome blogging year for me – I am finally earning the same I did when I had a 9-5 job…all I need now is some health insurance, lol.

@Chelle: Glad to hear your enterprise has risen to that level. I’ll bet that feels gratifying. I’ve heard both good and bad about the affiliate marketing stuff. Let me know how it goes for you.
