Blog Traffic Jumpstart

I woke up this morning and checked my CAN progress for the month on all my blogs only to find the analytics were in need of life support.  The past few months they have been pretty good which is why I am puzzled that now, with just as much if not more good content, they are floundering.  Well, I’m not one to sulk, I got my brain, my pencil, and a yellow pad to work.  I’m giving my traffic a jumpstart and I hope it works.  Here’s the plan:

  • Stumble/review a post from each of my blogs, along with 3 other posts.  It helps to offset these to avoid looking like a showboat.
  • Ask 3 people to stumble/review 3 other good posts I have written.  I might stumble three other blogs as well just for appearance’s sake.
  • Comment on blogs as much as possible (keep them real).
  • Twitter your latest, greatest posts.
  • Research ways of getting traffic online.  Keep  a few good ideas and do them.
  • Make a working routine you can do biweekly or even every day to increase traffic to your blog.

Have any traffic building ideas you care to share with this community?

Thanks for being a return reader. You may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.

    I’ve been looking in every corner of the world wide web to help what seems to be googled down. I climbed up to a page rank of 4 where I felt comfortable, only to be googled down to zero literally overnight. January first 2009 when I returned home after the holidays, my page rank was gone. I have been joining posting being as naturally active as possible only to be still left in the side with not enough to warrant more than a zero. thank for more productive advice.

    Well now after a while I now have bounced back to a pr4… and I havent done anything. go figure.

    @Manfredeye: Congrats. You’ll get lots of ad opportunitues which, if you accept, will knock you back to zero. PR really has no used for me anymore. I’ve been to a 4 and back to zero 2 three times in 3 years. It’s all nonsense. I love most Google ideas, but PR is no indicator of much of anything except that you are not doing sposnored posts. I make part of living doing those so … hmmm the choice before me:

    Make $300-500 bucks a month or have a PR4. I think I’ll choose the former.

    But congrats, if you value PR. I’m happy for you. I won’t turn a 4 down again. Funny thing is, nothing changes on my blog and yet they change my PR.

    Pardon my sarcasm, this is highly covered ground for me. This article is about increasing real stats I call my CAN progress (linked above in original post)

    Totally agree Damien. The reason I was so concerned as I WAS making that until people backed out after my ranks fell. Now Im down to 20 bucks a month…lol
    I too have absolute sarcasm with google, its a joke to me, but there are still many people out there that feel thats the most important.
    I’ve pretty much lost interest, gotta get it going again.

    @Manfredeye: I usually don’t promote my own posts in comments but I’d recommend reading all my stuff in this category:

    It’s sort of a learning curve on display with a lot of value for making bucks. Especially note the companies I use. Especially with your Pr4 you can make some good temporary dollars. PR won’t be around long but use it for your advantage.

    Let me know if I can help. I’m a blog mentor and usually charge nothing. I enjoy meeting and networking with valuable friends ;)

    Have you heard of linkworth? I was getting 250-300 steady until PR dropped. Google didn’t like the paid posts so I took those out and they brought me back up, so now I don’t allow any robots into a certain file that I use to write posts. I’m sure that’s nothing I invented and more than likely wont work for ever.
    They dumped me from their program stating that I was clicking, wasn’t tell them that. I told them that if I were clicking then why had it taken me 3 #$%@years to get a measly 70$ but nope. no go. I didn’t do that and have no reason to lie about it here, but had no idea of how to prove it to them either. I periodically try to talk to someone and get no where. so google ads are out. but I never made anything off them any way.

    Yeah, I am with Linkworth. I have done 3 opps in about a year. Mu suggestion is to work to improve:

    C= Circulation (inbound links)
    A = Analytics and
    N = Net

    Measure your progress by these and not PR and $ will follow.
