Angus Young of AC/DC salutes you too (probably)
Since 2006 I have grown into what I finally consider a professional blogger. I started writing blog-newsletters out to my extended family but then Technorati got a hold of my inspiration and I began to see what an established blog was. I wanted my blog to be that. With my evolution has come pay. I use and some other services to make money off all three of my blogs. I’ve been able to teach and mentor 3 people and help others through email and messenger. One thing I have learned is that in the same way everyone can take fat burner supplements and get results, not everybody can blog. In the same way, even more true is not everybody can make money blogging. But, if you enjoy writing and learning about technology, this could be for you.
I’ve always been an “everybody can do it” kind of teacher/mentor but I think I am officially becoming closed minded on this issue. It is hard earned money and doesn’t equal much more than $3-4 an hour when you put in all the hours you are online working. Most days in the first year are $5 a day to $30 a day. I’m putting this out there just to get the point across. I am done trying to help people living in a fantasy land. Some will blame me for not being able to get their blog experience to make money. Hey, it’s an art. I can only point the way.
Pro blogging takes more creativity and vigor than most people realize.
Newbies have to learn so much about code and blogging, it is probably impossible to expect any money until 6 months have passed. Up to that point you are working morning to night to get your blog ready and your posts relevant to entertain an audience and serve the needs of your advertisers.
This post is meant to keep the riff raff out. The posts that will follow in this series will share the tricks I have come up with and the way I make a small income through blogging. If you are serious about what you are doing, I know this series will help you.
To kick off the series, I’ve included a list of 4 posts on blogging from my archives. Do you have a specific question about blogging? Please ask it in the comments. I reply to all comments. I invite you to tune in perodically to read more information on this topic.

I just read your post and it sounds much like my experience with blogging. I have to give you a tip – I started using voice recognition to blog (I use Dragon Naturally Speaking). I tripled my blogging income in no time and it only costs around a hundred dollars for the program. I run 11 blogs now which would not even be humanly possible without voice recognition. Just wanted to let you know, it’s amazing technology. I’m your newest fan btw:)
