I am realizing that since I have 3 blogs, setting simple goals to report and review every month might be impossible. I hope you’ll hang with me while I try a few things.
When making goals I always start with the end in mind. What is it that I want from blogging?
- A large audience that reads my writing.
- Money for my posts (seems to come automatically at this point.)
- Help other bloggers.
Those are my 3 primary goals. I feel that setting goals to cover them is almost silly. In fact it is possibly logically impossible. For that reason, I am going to take a break from the traditional “CAN” monthly goals. I may stop to pause and reflect on my progress toward these three goals. If I do would you like to have a breakdown of exactly where I amde my money? Other bloggers do that. If enough people don’t ask for that then I will probably change my monthly reporting to cover simple traffic numbers and notable experiences I had with other bloggers. I will also continue to do the blog safaris because I enjoy sharing the amazing links I run across throughout the week. It brings me back to the tumblelog days.
Thank you for your input and don’t forget to let me know in the comments if you’d like me to put together a list of my income each month. TBH, I have a sinking feeling most people don’t really care if I do that or not and I would rather write about people and blogs rather than the money I am making.

Well, I am interested in how you continually meet your blogging goals, especially in the summer months when most people are outside doing things. Blogging is hard work!
But, what I actually like to hear more about is how you and Sarah go on dates and what you do with your extra money from blogging. I guess I’m more interested in the psychology and life aspect than I am the actual numbers and goals. Does that make sense?
I love your Blog Safari! You don’t want to change that!

I think I have put a lot of time in making goals and stressing. The time for long drawn out posts on how I am making money has long passed. I am with you when you say you like it when I share about my life. That’s how this all started for me. Like I said though, I am always available to mentor people re: that stuff.
