@Bridget Jones: I'm glad Malcolm led you over here. I'll be sure and thank him. He's a great rockin' dude. Thanks for your nice compliment.

@Penelope: That story tells itself ;) Thank you so much. Judging the contest was a pleasure for my wife and I.

Wow, that is an amazing story and that is one that I am sure is even better to hear in person. I've never experienced anything quite like that and cannot even imagine what it was like to go through that as a 12 year old.

Thankfully your parents did not fall for the idea of leaving one of you kids there, that could have been very bad.

That's one of those incidents that will drive you crazy if you try to dissect it.

Great story, Damien... Keep this up and I'll have to call you Shelly. Though that does not mean I think you made it up, just told it well!

Wow. That story just wants to make me grab my kids and pray with them! How scary...yet, how amazing. Very puzzling, indeed. I guess, there is no scientific explanation, just a Holy one.
Thanks for the wonderful comment you made on my entry.

What an amazing story, Damien. If I weren't wearing trousers, I'm sure it would have blown my dress up ;-)
I must admit that I've never managed to watch Deliverance the whole way through. It totally freaks me out!
