We were at the mall getting all of the last minute things (necklace, pedicure, etc.) for my daughter because she graduates tonight. I was so absorbed in trying to make sure we had everything we needed that I completely missed hearing a funny story that my oldest daughter was telling. She asked me" Mom, don't you think that's funny?" and I swear, I wasn't able to recall a word she said. I wasn't conscious, as you write about in this post. I was letting my stress mask the good stuff. Thanks so much for the reminder and it couldn't have come at a better time!!!! Today I will be conscious, too!!!! Something to constantly keep in mind and apply to your everyday life. I'd really like to know what you think of this book when you're finished it.
