Why are these people blogging to begin with? They seem to be missing the point. I go through phases where I read a lot, or write a lot, or neither. When I'm reading blogs, the authors don't necessarily know it, as I use Bloglines & am apt to come in only to comment. Or, of course, to see what design changes are happening... I don't get offended if my readership declines, but I do pay attention. If it becomes a trend, I might sweat it a bit. But how would I know if some individual(s) weren't reading?
