In this series I write down stuff about Feedburner. I do it for my own ease of searching and in hopes it will help you out as well. In my previous post, you may have read I was frustrated as all get out with Feedburner and I decided to revert to using my raw feed addresses instead of the Feedburner ones. This worked solid for about 6 months but now I have decided to try monetizing my feeds with Feedburner and Google Adsense once again. I hoped they had gotten the kinks worked out. For now, it seems they have. Whereas my feeds were not updating before, now they are. The solution lay in logging in and activation “Ping Shot” for each of your blogs. Then, after it is activated, use a 301 redirect .htaccess to forward your raw feeds to the Feedburner link. I have done this and so far it is working fine. More information on PingShot here.

Now, as for how much money I will earn through Adsense for feeds, that remains to be seen. Besides that though I have learned that Feedburner has many features I could not recreate when I used the raw feed only. One example is the chicklet showing feed subscription counts. There is a lot there for you at Google Feedburner and I hope this is the last major fix I have to warble through.
