Got an About Page?

About pages are funny in how different they can be. Do you like yours? Are you relatively anonymous? How much do you reveal? I try to portray myself as fairly real, but of course it’s always a “persona” as presented. A web page could never fully explain a person, so I figured, why try? There is a link to mine in the sidebar.

Please share your about page here. If you know of any interesting ones apart from your own, link them as well. You can use the <a href=” function in your comments if you’d like to link your page or someone else’s.

If you don’t have an about page . . . what’s that about? LOL.

I read about pages often. I love to see what people come up with to share about their lives and I do love your about page!

I know I will rewrite mine, though not as often as you and I change templates… BTW – I think you have broken my record by a considerable margin, Damien.

I love all of the pictures on your “About” page – mine is much more condensed and I haven’t included any family pictures as my wife isn’t too keen on the idea of me plastering their pictures all over.

When I first began blogging, I did not have an About Page, and my name was not visible anywhere on the site. I was spooked by all the “dangerous internet” stories. Also, I had worked for many years with violent offenders, which tends to make one cautious.

Then a writer whom I had long admired happened on my site, and sent me an admonishing note: Put up a copyright notice! Put on your name! Put up an About Page!

After checking to be sure it was really him, I complied.

This is a quirky About Page, and it continues to evolve:

Hmm, that says I can edit it, but I can’t make it work –

Just wanted to add: this About Page serves several sites, so it’s a stand-alone page, with its own design. Another kind of quirky factor.

I call that page "Agent Exposed".  I’m ok with it.  I think it’s always evolving, however.

I love that title.  Very clever.
