I Walked by the Mirror and Saw a Homeowner

Okay, so I know I’ve been a homeowner almost two years but it’s still hard for me to accept. Since I was nearly 40 when I finally crossed the threshold all I have mostly known in my life is rental stuff. Now that I own this place I am constantly doing stuff to make it “mine.” One thing I am looking at putting in is this amazing thing called a central vacuum system. I’ve been working all week with my fireplace and my pool setup and that would just be the coolest thing in the world. I doubt my “tweaks” of my house will ever end until I’m 80 and dead or something like that. It’s a good road. I’m glad I’m a homeowner. It’s like a blog in real life that I just keep tweaking and building on. It might be that we don’t just cross into greatness but rather it evolves.

Home ownership ain’t for sissies, that’s for sure. I’ve heard about those central vac systems. I hope you can pull it off! I’ve always wanted one of those homes with a concrete floor and a drain in the middle that you can just hose down.

I hear you there! Kind of like a cross between an indoor patio and an industrial restaurant kitchen. ;) I always say my kids are the culprits of a mess but my wife won’t let me get away with it.
