To my Facebook friends:

I don’t play Farmtown, I don’t post pictures there, I don’t do Apps, I market links and post statuses. For that reason, Facebook is not really suited for me.

“But wait! We see you posting on Facebook sometimes!”

True. I post statuses and links through a service called Ping.fm but I am rarely logged on to Facebook. When I post to Facebook it is done outside of Facebook and I post to about 25 other social media sites with one click through Ping.fm. Click on the image to see a larger view.

Hi Damien. Justin sent me. I’m part of his online mafia of Mommy Bloggers and SEO experts.

Ping.fm sounds cool. Like it would save time. Can you see comments to your FB posts there, and can you reply to them? Or do you have to go back to FB for that?

Thanks Jena. If you set your focus and spend a couple hours a day you can easily make that. Let me know if you want to chat about it sometime. Justin will tell you I enjoy helping others. I have miles to go myself. :)

Damien, nice meeting you. Even though I’m a social media enthusiast I can totally understand some of Facebook side-effects. ^^ Ping.fm is a good service, I tried it a few times when sending updates over several platforms. Saves time indeed.

    Hi, Damien.

What? You’re hardly make your presence felt in Facebook except for publishing updates via third party app? Darn, I would have invited you to visit my farm in Facebook. LOL.

It’s been only lately I’ve been having of a sample of Facebook life. I’ve been updating it via FriendFeed. So you’ve your ping.fm, and I have FF. Same principle.

Did you notice the Technorati blog reactions is broken on all sites and doesn’t show a number anymore, it stopped working a few days ago, I don’t know what Technorati has done to their system.

I know Technorati is going through changes. I have a feeling they will re-emerge with more authority than before. They were once the blogging standard for assigning rank.
