My Guest Post up at "The Man Page"

From time to time my famous internet friend Derek Semmler lets me write my thoughts in a guest post on one of his top shelf blogs.  Today it’s over at The Man Page.  Derek had some concerns when the public school in Chicago where he lives frowned on him taking his child out for a family vacation.  As a teacher, I shed some light as to why this happenes sometimes.  Finally, I give some suggestions of how to do it without much of a quake.
