Today I have launched my teaching podcast, A Teachers Brain. I welcome the teaching and education world into my brain to see things from my perspective. This launch is significant as I put more thought and planning into this podcast than I have into the launch of any other blog project to date. I think it could become my primary online focus if it fares as well as I hope. My teaching blog has done stellarly and I’m putting my money on this podcast doing the same.
After 3 days establishing a Wordpress platform and another three building and destroying foundational ideas on this project, I finally got that divine spark: an entrepreneurial idea. I’ve put a lot of energy into this one and even some capital investment which is a first for a blogging endeavor for me. I hope I will be successful through being “real” with other teachers and people interested in teaching as a profession. My podcast has some exciting facets but its strongest feature is its window into my 13+ years experience as a teacher. My sound system is tight and I have about 50 ideas already written down I intend to use in the podcast before 2010.
This podcast consists of tips for good teaching. The episodes will be short for now, 6-10 minutes each. In time I may explore interviews and longer shows with video and other technology.
If you know someone in teaching or if you are interested in teacher insights and stories, the brain of a teacher if you will, please subscribe. This could be my project that leaves the rest behind. It would be nice to focus on just one thing for a while. The link is below, please visit and give me any feedback you can think of.
