The Miracle a Few Laps Can Do

I cannot complain about my summer. Even though I worked 2 sessions (6 weeks) of summer school, I still “made it through” without me or my students having any broken limbs or being lost at break :) Since the last day came and went, I have been doing a lot of online writing for hire, blogging, and playing with my kids. Mostly, around here, what that entails is swimming! We love our new swimming pool and if I had my way I would live in it 24/7. Today was an example of how much good it does me.

I was thinking about the ew year starting and running through all these tapes in my head: what-if scenraios that are likelt never to occur. for example: What if I don;t get along with my teaching team this year … after all, I have heard things. You get the idea. It kept spinning in my head until I realized I had to go jump in the pool. When i hit the water I was a new many: literally. I still had to use some gumption to ignore the tiny gossips in my head but that water made it so easy. Ultimately, I thought to myself: whatever I face, I will be better having been in this here pool!

What do you think of pools? oceans? spray bottles?
