#5 is one of my ALL TIME FAVE songs!!
Isn’t that a great tune?
Your TT was right up my alley. Not a weak track on the list. I had forgotten all about "Rain In the Summertime" by The Alarm. Two other songs by them that I really like are "68 Guns" and "Stand".
I addition to being a big fan of the "Nutty Sound" of Madness, I also enjoyed their hilarious videos. I hadn’t heard "Nowhere Girl" until I visited your TT. It wasn’t too bad.
"Should I Stay Or Should I Go" is one of this Rock Chick’s all-time faves. After all of teh Bon Jovi songs, of course :)
Jessica
Will go watch the songs!!!! Have a great TT! Mine is up if you wanna visit me. :)
I was going down the list and not recognising any of those by name till I got to Mike Post’s theme from Hill St Blues. Was that really the decade before last?
Come on, Eileen! What a great song!
Happy TT!
I remember some of those. :)
My 13 this week is musical too. Come by and see if you can guess the title and artist of the songs I listed.
@Malcolm: I thought about the Stand. I’m good friends with Dave Sharp, the ex-guitarist of the Alarm. He recorded 2 songs with my band in the early 90’s. You can hear them at my "MySpace" linked in the about page here. Thanks for stoppin’ by brother.
Twilight Zone is now running through my head…great minds think alike, mine is music related this week as well.
Love the songs on your list!
Samantha . . . That bass line is infectuous!
Well, I’m pretty much from beyond the 80’s. Recognize a few of those but… must say I know more from the 60’s and 70’s though :P.
Omg though at some of those clips, haha. The hair, the clothing, the style XD. I bet you must have been part of it to appreciate it, lol :P.
It was a different world! Preppies, hair band rockers, and punks just to name a few "types." I was a preppie punk . . .
Haha, since I had no clue on what different kinds of punk there were I checked up preppy punk on google images to see what it looks like XD. God the eighties truly must have been a different world ;).
It was weird. The Reagan/Bush sr. ""just say no" conservatives battling the "art and thought" based New wave culture that was just beginning.
