Everywhere from the field of teaching to candle-stick making, every profession is being hit by these bad economic times in America. Don’t despair though. With a little creativity and the willingness to think outside the box, you can find alternative ways of making money and weather the storm out. I recorded this at 10pm Friday, January 30th in my freezing cold garage. Enjoy!

I think the problems that America is facing are being faced the world over, and it is primarily the result of a globalized capitalist economy. The people on earth relied for too long on an unstable system. I agree with many of your statements. The imbalance (the rich have been too rich and the poor have been too poor) needs to end. A paperless society would help. New technologies will help. Less reliance on money and more reliance on the earth (i.e. learn how to get your own food and shelter without money) also helps. We need to turn our heads inside out.

@Bobbie Dawn: That is an excellent comment. While I don’t veer as left as mentioning reliance on the earth and creating your own shelter, I think there is some value in “downsizing” the way we see success. It may even turn out that we are happier renting a “flat” in England than getting 4 acres on a ridiculous loan to keep up with the American Jones’s.
